The therapy TRT (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy) is a therapy based on the studies of the Dr. Pawel Jastreboff (Atlanta University, USA) which is currently giving very good results, improving notably in 80% of the cases with this annoying hearing problem.

This same principle is the basis for TRT therapy and has a high success rate. In the treatment, the sound is applied directly where the Tinnitus is perceived. and consists of reeducating our brain to ignore it.

The Doctor Pawel Jastreboff (Poland, 1946) is undoubtedly one of the main references in tinnitus research. The success of his Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy) supports him. Dr. Pawel is a professor at the universities of Yale and Maryland, in the USA, where he founded the first tinnitus and hyperacusis center. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Emory School of Medicine.

When we first hear a sound we pay attention to it, but after a while it is automatically ignored by our brain. In technical terms, when an auditory signal loses meaning and becomes a neutral signalceases to be consciously perceived? from that moment on we talk about noise habituation.

This therapy consists in the habituation to tinnitus by means of a calibrated sound, thus basing itself on the processes of adaptation of an acoustic signal.
